Privacy Policy
Last updated on June 22, 2025
This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how Tranexis Inc. ("Tranexis", "we", "us" or "our") collects, protects and uses the personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") you ("User", "you" or "your") may provide through the Tranexis websites and cloud-hosted services (collectively, "Services"). The Policy also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal Information and how you can access and update this information. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.
TLDR; (The Short Version)
We only collect the personal data we need to provide our service. We never sell your data to third parties. You control the data you enter into our service. We do not use invasive advertising or tracking cookies (like Google or Meta pixels). We are committed to complying with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations. Tranexis is not currently PCI or HIPAA certified.
Collection of personal information
When you sign up for and use our Services, you provide us with personally-identifying information.
- Subscribers: If you sign up for our newsletter or updates, we will collect your name and email address to send you communications, based on your consent.
- Account Holders: When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and password. We need this to create your account, provide the Services, process payments, and communicate with you.
Collection of non-personal information
When you visit the Services our servers automatically record information that your browser sends. This data may include information such as your device's IP address, browser type and version, operating system type and version, language preferences or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Services, pages of our Services that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Services, access times and dates, and other statistics.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as social security numbers, health information, or genetic data. While you might store this type of information within our Services, you do so at your own discretion.
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that a user is under this age, we will take steps to close their account.
Our Role as Data Controller and Processor
It's important to understand the two different roles Tranexis plays with your data.
- Tranexis as Data Controller: For your account information (full name, email address, payment details), Tranexis is the Data Controller. We determine the purposes and means of processing this data to manage your account and provide the service.
- Tranexis as Data Processor: For all the data you enter into our platform as part of your work (e.g., your customers' information, project details, etc.), you are the Data Controller. Tranexis acts as the Data Processor. We only process this data according to your instructions and will never use it for our own purposes.
Use and processing of collected information
Any of the information we collect from you may be used to personalize your experience; improve our Services; improve customer service; process transactions; send notification emails such as password reminders, updates, etc; and operate our Services. Non-Personal Information collected is used only to identify potential cases of abuse and establish statistical information regarding Services usage. This statistical information is not otherwise aggregated in such a way that would identify any particular user of the system.
Sharing Your Information
Tranexis discloses potentially personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information to process it on our behalf or to provide the Services, and (ii) have agreed not to disclose it to others.
We will not rent or sell your personal information to anyone.
Other than as described above, we will only disclose your information if required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the property or rights of Tranexis, third parties, or the public at large.
Subprocessors
To deliver our services, we engage third-party subprocessors for infrastructure, payment processing, and security. We ensure all subprocessors are bound by contractual agreements that uphold the same level of data protection as required by GDPR. Key subprocessors may include:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Sentry
International Data Transfer
Our Services are hosted in the United States. Information we collect will be stored and processed on our servers there. If you are using our Services from another region, your data will be transferred to the United States. We take all necessary measures to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Services use "cookies" to help personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. We may use cookies to collect, store, and track information for statistical purposes to operate our Services. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer.
- Functional Cookies: We use essential cookies to provide a seamless Browse experience, such as keeping you logged in.
- No Advertising Cookies: We do not use third-party cookies for advertising or invasive tracking (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel).
- "Do Not Track": Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, we do not need to respond differently to a browser's "Do Not Track" signal.
Your Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
We are committed to upholding the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Regardless of your location, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any incorrect or incomplete data.
- Delete your personal data from our systems ("right to be forgotten").
- Withdraw consent at any time if processing is based on consent.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@tranexis.com. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your data and close your account at any time through your account settings.
PCI and HIPAA Compliance
Tranexis is not certified under the Payment Card Industry (PCI) or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. Our services are not intended for storing protected health information (PHI) or sensitive financial data.
Information security
We secure information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in an effort to protect against unauthorized access, use, modification, and disclosure of Personal Information in its control and custody. However, no data transmission over the Internet or wireless network can be guaranteed. Therefore, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, you acknowledge that (i) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (ii) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and our Services cannot be guaranteed; and (iii) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third-party, despite best efforts.
Data breach
In the event we become aware that the security of the Services has been compromised or users’ Personal Information has been disclosed to unrelated third-parties as a result of external activity, including, but not limited to, security attacks or fraud, we reserve the right to take reasonably appropriate measures, including, but not limited to, investigation and reporting, as well as notification to and cooperation with law enforcement authorities. In the event of a data breach, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected individuals if we believe that there is a reasonable risk of harm to the user as a result of the breach or if notice is otherwise required by law. When we do we will send you an email.
Legal disclosure
We will disclose any information we collect, use or receive if required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. In the event we go through a business transition, such as a merger or acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your user account and personal data will likely be among the assets transferred.
Changes and amendments
Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes via email. We encourage you to frequently check this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
